Walks in the historic gardens, lake tours and massages with a view – regenerate your spirit in tranquillity.

  1. Visit Villa del Balbianello: accessible via a pleasant walk, this villa offers breathtaking views and impeccable gardens.
  2. Bagni di Bellagio: a relaxing day at a spa overlooking the lake.
  3. Lakeside walk in Tremezzina: a peaceful walk with opportunities to stop at cafes and lakeside restaurants.
  4. Museo Barca Lariana: a must-see for all history and navigation enthusiasts. Located on the beautiful lakefront of Pianello del Lario, the museum displays a large collection of traditional Lake Como boats and their history.
  5. Valchiavenna and the Acquafraggia waterfalls: the Acquafraggia waterfalls are one of the most spectacular attractions in Valchiavenna.   2. Trekking trails in Monte di Tremezzo: trails with panoramic views of the lake for energetic walkers.
  3. Horseback riding: with various opportunities to ride in the mountains, stroll along the lakeshore or explore the surrounding woods, horseback riding is a fun way to spend time outdoors and on the move.
  4. Cycling around the lake: cycle routes combine scenery and visits to characteristic villages.
  5. Golf Menaggio: There are several golf courses in the area offering challenges for both beginners and experts.
  6. Excursion to Madonna del Ghisallo: The Madonna del Ghisallo Sanctuary (17th century) is one of the most famous places for cyclists from all over the world, because it is located at the top of a climb that has been the finish line of some of the most important cycling competitions, including the Giro d’Italia.
  7. Nordic Walking: The Lake Como region offers numerous trails suitable for Nordic walking, which combines nature with exercise.
  8. Adventure park for young and old: Lake Como Adventure Park is an adventure park on Lake Como that can be reached by car, camper van or small bus. Open in the spring, summer and autumn seasons, it is designed for outdoor fun for all.
  9. Sentiero delle espressioni: this is an itinerary created in the woods of the Intelvi Valley that combines nature and art. All along the itinerary you will see wooden sculptures evoking different worlds.
  10. Blackbird Garden: this is a botanical garden laid out on terraces with a panoramic path overlooking the lake. We challenge you to find the ‘secret door’.
  11. SUP (Stand Up Paddle): this is a practice originating in Hawaii that involves paddling standing up on a board similar to surfing. This activity is a lot of fun and relaxing, but also a great way to stay in shape. There are numerous centres in Alto Lago di Como that rent paddleboarding equipment and organise wonderful tours.

Challenge yourself with kitesurfing, challenging trekking and free climbing – push your limits in safety and adrenalin.

  1. Trekking on the Sentiero del Viandante (Wayfarer’s Path): A route offering breathtaking views for experienced hikers.
  2. Climbing and free climbing in Val Masino and Val di Mello: There are several crags and rock climbing schools where enthusiasts can practice or learn climbing.
  3. Paragliding at Monti di Montemezzo: Tandem flight to experience the adrenaline rush of free flight with a view of the lake.
  4. Mountain biking in the Monti Lariani: Mountain bike trails offering technical challenges and adrenaline-fuelled descents.
  5. Kitesurfing, wing surf and wind surfing: water sports offered in the Lake Como area are a major attraction for active, lake-loving visitors. Among the sports on offer are kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingsurfing and rowing.
  6. High-mountain excursions: such as those in the Grigne group for experienced mountaineers.
  7. Monte Bregagno: Monte Bregagno is a 2,109-metre mountain located between Lake Como and Lake Lugano. From its summit you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the two lakes, the Swiss Alps and the Como Pre-Alps. There are several paths suitable for experienced hikers to reach the summit.
  8. Lake Darengo: located in the Valsolda, it is a small jewel hidden among the mountains. Its crystal-clear waters invite you to take a refreshing dip on hot summer days. There are several hiking trails around the lake, perfect for a walk in the middle of nature.
  9. Sailing: navigate the crystal-clear waters of Lake Como on board a sailboat. In Upper Lake Como you will find numerous sailing clubs offering courses for both beginners and experts, for adults and children. In addition, you can hire a boat or take part in exciting sailing tours.
